Basic Setup
The problem often encountered is that the distance between the wheelchair and the driver's seat is too great. To remedy these problems, there are two types of transfer plate:

Basic setup
A versatile base for transfer to and from the wheelchair inside the vehicle.
The 6-way base makes it easier to transition from a wheelchair to a safe, stable and comfortable car seat inside a van. It allows you to move the driver's seat backwards, swivel it and adjust its height to bring the driver's seat next to the wheelchair.
The 6-way base is crash tested and certified with the female belt buckle built into the base. A footrest that follows the longitudinal movement is available as an option.

Basic Setup
The Turnout swivel base is designed for anyone who has difficulty getting into a vehicle or transitioning from a wheelchair to the seat.
It is installed between the vehicle floor and the seat, the swivel base allows the seat to be swiveled outwards. After pivoting, the seat moves forward a little more to get closer to the user.
The Turnout base is the simplest and most economical solution in our range of swivel bases.
It can be installed on both the driver's and passenger's side and is available with a manual (Turnout) or electric (Turnout E) rotation mechanism. Both models are offered in 2-door or 4-door versions.

Basic setup

Transfer from wheelchair to car seat without lifting.
The Carony consists of three main elements: the seat, the wheeled frame and the swivel base. Mounted on the wheeled frame, the seat becomes a transport wheelchair. Mounted on the swivel base, the seat becomes an approved car seat. Thus, anyone, wheelchair user or not, can sit in the front seat, put on the car's ordinary seat belt and travel in optimal comfort and safety conditions.

It offers comfort and safety to the user. It is the mobile part of the Carony which slides, carrying the user between the wheelchair frame and the rotating base. The seat offers several functions to ensure good posture and relieve pressure. In particular the possibility of raising the front of the seat and tilting the backrest. It also features rear handles with brake.
The chassis
Together, the frame and the seat form the Carony wheelchair. This is where we find details such as the footrests, the height adjustment crank and the parking brake. To be able to move easily and park safely, it is equipped with 16″ wheels with disc brakes. The crank allows you to put the seat at the right height for docking. But it also comes in handy in other situations inside or outside the home.
The swivel base
The swivel base takes the place of the original seat to accommodate the Carony seat. As the name suggests, it turns towards the door to allow docking of the wheelchair frame. The model and operation of the rotating base may vary depending on the dimensions of the car. If the car is high, the plinth rotates and lowers before docking the seat. Then the seat is loaded with the user in the car.
Whatever the model, all of our swivel bases have undergone crash tests and are approved in combination with the Carony seat. The tests are carried out according to the standards in force in the automotive industry.
