The joystick throttle consists of two joysticks placed behind the steering wheel. It must be combined with a manual brake lever. Acceleration is obtained by light pressure, left hand or right hand, on one of the two levers. If one of the two joysticks is pressed down, the second is too.
So if the driver wishes to change hands during the journey, no jolt will be felt.
